The troupe will relocate from its temporary location at the Connoisseur Room at 115 E. Ohio St. on Dec. 1, in time to present a holiday show that runs Dec. 10-12.
Dinner and overnight packages will be available at the Columbia Club. Theatergoers do not have to be members of the club, but incentives will be available to those who wish to join.
“This partnership with the Columbia Club will really take us to the next level,” Cabaret Managing Director Shannon Forsell said in a statement. “The most successful cabarets are housed in a club or hotel because the partnerships are such a win-win relationship.”
The financially struggling Cabaret exited its longtime home at the Athenaeum in January after running out of cash. Four of its six staff members were laid off. It had paid $100,000 a year to rent a 350-seat space at the historic Athenaeum that was rarely filled.
