Ivy Tech near top of fastest-growing colleges list

Ivy Tech Community College in Indianapolis has been ranked the second fastest growing community college campus in the nation.

A report by Community College Week says Ivy Tech’s central Indiana campus enrollment grew by 22 percent from fall
2007 to fall 2008. Los Angeles Trade Technical College was the only school with an enrollment of 10,000 or more that had a
larger increase during that time. It grew more than 32 percent.

Although the rankings deal with data from 2007
and 2008, Ivy Tech has continued big enrollment increases this year. Ivy Tech recorded more than 109,000 students across the
state this fall, an increase of nearly 25 percent from a year ago.
