Wednesday.
The combined firm will have more than 8,700 members and more than $20 million in assets, according to
Credit Union Access, an online directory of credit unions.
Clarian Federal, an arm of Indianapolis-based
hospital system Clarian Health, has two locations—across the street from Clarian’s Methodist
Hospital in downtown Indianapolis and inside the Clarian West Medical Center in Avon. Community Choice
has one location, at 2811 E. 10th St. in Indianapolis.
By merging with Clarian Federal, Community
Choice members will get access to 40 different retail locations that are part of a shared branch network
in which Clarian Federal participates.
Clarian Federal also offers online banking and bill payment services,
which Community Choice does not.
Officials of the credit unions expect the merger to be complete by year’s
end. It received approval from the National Credit Union Administration on Nov. 10.
