variety of programs in 2010.
“We plan to continue well-established programs, as well as institute new initiatives
that will be natural progressions of existing ones—to advance the dynamic international dimension of our city and state,”
Diane G. Thomas, the center’s president and CEO, said in a prepared statement.
The International Center
participates in the U.S. State Department’s International Visitor Leadership Program, which brings visitors from other
countries to U.S. cities to learn about various topics and exchange ideas.
It also assists new international
residents and visitors; participates in naturalization ceremonies; and trains businesses, government agencies, schools and
not-for-profits in global competency.
