restaurant and sent one firefighter to a hospital.
City fire officials say heavy smoke was billowing from the Texas
Roadhouse at 1405 N. Shadeland Ave., when firefighters arrived around 12:45 a.m. Monday.
A statement from the fire
department said it took firefighters nearly 2-1/2 hours to control the blaze as they tried to find a substantial water supply.
Officials say fire hydrants were frozen.
The National Weather Service said temperatures were hovering around 15
degrees.
One firefighter was taken to a hospital with chest pains just before 5 a.m. No other injuries were reported.
Damage is estimated at $4 million. The restaurant has about 135 employees.
