The Indiana House and Senate face a deadline this coming week for amending and passing bills previously approved by the other
chamber.
Bills still pending in the House include one that delays an increase in unemployment insurance taxes and one that makes some
changes to Indiana's gambling laws. Both bills could be heavily amended before they are voted on as a whole.
One bill pending in the Senate would tighten lobbying and ethics rules.
After this coming week, lawmakers will meet in conference committees in hopes of reaching compromises on bills that could
pass each chamber.
