Indiana University's president says IU this fall will launch a $1.1 billion fund-raising campaign aimed at expanding
the IUPUI campus' life science programs.
In his state of the university address Tuesday, IU President Michael McRobbie urged IU to begin immediate work on a master
plan with Clarian Health focused on expanding the life sciences initiatives at IUPUI.
He says that if the Indianapolis campus expands to an area north of the current campus it could pave the way for new academic
buildings for the life sciences.
Purdue University President Frances A. Cordova used part of her state of the university address Tuesday to combat rumors
of pending budget cuts on the campus. She says no decisions on cuts have been made.
