As the kid said to Shoeless Joe Jackson, “Say it ain’t so, Joe!” But I know it is so since I read Chris
Katterjohn’s [March 1] column stating that he is leaving IBJ.
I can’t think of IBJ without thinking of him and vice versa. I have seen him guide a young upstart publication,
which was not only a new concept here in Indy but nationally at the time, and take it to the top tier of business publications,
earning countless national and regional awards along the way. As a result, thousands of people, including me, enjoy reading
it every week.
From the beginning, he always strived for the best editorial content possible, even trying to improve my column submissions,
which caused him to spend countless hours making them presentable! For that, and other reasons, I am grateful to Chris. I
will miss his columns and his ongoing impact upon IBJ and wish him the best in whatever his new endeavor turns out
to be.
