An Indianapolis attorney has been selected to replace a former Indianapolis City-County Council member who reportedly is
under investigation on accusations that he took a $5,000 payment from an undercover FBI agent.
Republican precinct committee members on Saturday selected Aaron Freeman to take Lincoln Plowman's seat. Freeman also
is president of Franklin Township GOP Club. Four other candidates were seeking the seat.
Plowman, the council's former Republican majority leader, resigned earlier this month from the council and took early
retirement from his position as a city police major. No charges have been filed against Plowman.
