A central Indiana mayor says he's traveling to China with plans to complete a deal bringing a furniture maker to the
city.
Marion Mayor Wayne Seybold told the City Council on Tuesday that he and the city's development director would be making
the trip this week. Seybold says the Chinese company plans to move into a former Hobby Lobby building that the city owns and
both make and sell furniture from the site.
Seybold says the company is expected to hire at least 30 people.
Seybold plans to meet with 18 other Chinese companies and speak to university students in Beijing about how Chinese businesses
can work with American cities.
