The Indiana USDA Rural Development State Office has $7.4 million to award for renewable energy systems, energy-efficiency
improvements, energy audits and renewable-energy feasibility studies.
Odds of landing grant money for a cow flatulence energy-generating device are better if you apply before May 17 because there’s
less money available by the time the final deadline of June 30 rolls around. Applications are due at the agency’s state
office in Indianapolis, at 5975 Lakeside Blvd.
Some of the money comes from the Rural Energy for America Program courtesy of the 2002 Farm Bill.
