Indianapolis Economic Development Inc., the organization responsible for company expansion and attraction in Indianapolis
and Marion County, has changed its name. Its new moniker is Develop Indy.
According to its CEO, Scott Miller, Develop Indy was often confused with other business development groups, particularly
the Indiana Economic Development Corp., which serves the entire state.
Develop Indy has moved its offices from space it shared with the Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce on the 19th floor
of the Chase Tower to the building’s 24th floor. Its new address is 111 Monument Circle, Suite 2450, and its phone number
is 677-0210. Develop Indy will launch a new website later this year.
Since 2008, Develop Indy has secured commitments from companies to create 10,628 new jobs, retain 16,020 existing jobs, and
invest more than $729 million. It is governed by a nine-member board, appointed by Mayor Greg Ballard.
