Judge David F. Hamilton of the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals announced Thursday that his chambers are expected to be
relocated to Bloomington by the end of 2010. He now occupies an office in the federal courthouse in Indianapolis.
Hamilton will maintain his office and staff at IU's Maurer School of Law but travel to Chicago for oral arguments.
Assistant Dean for Communications Ken Turchi says the arrangement is one of only a few of its kind in the nation and will
give law students firsthand exposure to the workings of the judicial system.
Hamilton says he's sure "there will be many learning opportunities in both directions."
