The Health Foundation of Greater Indianapolis has hired its first development director, longtime arts fundraiser Kathy Nagler.

Nagler is leaving the Indianapolis Museum of Art, where she had been development services director before recently taking
a lesser fundraising role. Nagler was executive director of the Indianapolis Museum of Contemporary Art from 2007 to 2009.

One of Nagler's primary responsibilities at the Health Foundation will be to grow support for the Indiana AIDS Fund.

"The greater Indianapolis community has generously supported the Indiana AIDS Fund for 15 years, but we must continue
to grow our fundraising capacity to fill the gaps in state and federally funded HIV-education programs and care coordination,"
foundation CEO Betty Wilson said in a prepared statement. "The Health Foundation board felt it was time to add an experienced
fundraiser to build relationships and raise awareness of HIV diesease across the entire state, not just in central Indiana."

The Indiana AIDS Fund is the largest private supporter of HIV/AIDS programs in Indiana, as well as an authority on AIDS-related
issues.

The Health Foundation was formed in 1985 with proceeds from the sale of Metro Health HMO. Since then, it has granted $25
million for health-related charities, including school-based clinics. This year, the foundation announced a special $1 miIlion
grant for Wishard Health Services' pediatric asthma program.
