Democrats at their state convention in Indianapolis Saturday chose Osili over Carmel attorney Tom McKenna.
Osili will face Fishers Town Councilman Charlie White, a Republican, in November's election. Current Secretary of State
Todd Rokita is a Republican who can't seek re-election because of term limits.
Democrats also nominated South Bend businessman Pete Buttigieg for state treasurer and Floyds Knobs consultant Sam Locke
for state auditor. Both were unopposed. They'll face incumbent GOP state auditor Tim Berry and treasurer Richard Mourdock.
