A long-running classic car auction in northern Indiana will continue under a Canadian company that is taking it over from
its founder who has faced financial troubles.
Kruse International owner Dean Kruse announced the sale Thursday to RM Auctions, which bills itself as the world's largest
collector car auction house.
RM Auctions founder Rob Myers said the company would continue the Labor Day weekend sales at the Auburn auction park under
the name Auctions America.
Terms of the deal weren't released.
Kruse said he would continue working to pay off dozens of clients awaiting money for cars and other items sold at his company's
auctions. The Indiana Auctioneer Commission permanently revoked Kruse International's license in May after complaints about
its business practices. Kruse and the company were fined a combined $70,000 and must pay $300,000 he owes clients.
