Locally based GreenLight Collectibles recently signed a deal with Minnesota-based Target to have the retailer sell its 1:64-scale
replica cars.
This month, Target stores began carrying a new line of GreenLight products, including a Ford Mustang Wisconsin state police
car, Dodge Charger Florida and Iowa state police cars, Crown Victoria Indiana and Virginia state police cars, and a Dodge
Challenger Broward County (Florida) sheriff’s car.
The new line is dubbed the Hot Pursuit Series 4, and the models were picked based on the size of the markets the life-size
versions of the cars serve, GreenLight officials said.
The Hot Pursuit Series 4 die-cast replicas feature opening hoods, detailed engines, real rubber tires, metal body and chassis,
detailed graphics, and custom license plates, and are officially licensed by the respective automobile companies. Quantities
are limited to 7,500 units of each car and are available at Target stores and the hobby market.
GreenLight was founded in 1998 by Kevin Davey, former director of licensing for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
