The city of Indianapolis has launched three Web sites offering greater insight into local government’s business activities.
All three are part of the Unigov Web portal www.indy.gov.
www.indy.gov/boards provides information about all Indianapolis boards and commissions, including a directory, information
about their administering agency or department, lists of their members, their expiration dates, and appointing authorities.
It also provides a link to the administering authority and the statute that creates the board.
www.indy.gov/contracts is a free, searchable database of all city and county contracts dating back to Jan. 1, 2008. Eventually,
it is expected to include contracts dating back to 2004. Starting July 1, all new city or county contracts must be scanned
and uploaded within 21 days of completion.
www.indy.gov/lobbyist offers a searchable database of individuals and organizations lobbying local government. Under Mayor
Greg Ballard’s administration, all lobbyists are required to register their activities with the city and county.
