Tennessee's industrial development agency says Indiana-based NHK Seating of America Inc., will build a plant that will
create up to 224 jobs in Murfreesboro by 2015.
A Wednesday statement from the state Department of Economic and Community Development says construction of the $54 million
auto parts plant will start in October near the intersection of Interstate 24 and Joe B. Jackson Parkway.
The plant is expected to employ up to 224 workers when all phases of production are operating in 2015.
NHK Seating of America is headquartered in Frankfort, and has been making automotive parts in the United States since 1987.
The Murfreesboro plant will initially make auto seat frames, but company executives said they hope to expand the product line.
