Ivy Tech Community College says its number of full-time students is up 10 percent for this fall semester, although it has
fewer students than last spring.
Ivy Tech announced Friday it has counted 111,452 students statewide. That is up about 4 percent from a year ago, but down
from the nearly 120,000 students the college had for the spring semester.
College president Thomas Snyder says the increase in full-time students showed that more of those enrolled are looking to
complete a degree or certificate at a faster pace.
Ivy Tech has seen the number of students at its 23-campus system explode over the past couple years, with this fall's
enrollment up 29 percent from the fall 2008 semester.
