The state has a new transparency website that pulls together Indiana budget data, spending reports and other financial information
that had previously been spread across multiple sites.
Republican state Auditor Tim Berry says taxpayers deserve the best tools available to understand how their tax money is being
spent.
But Democrats say the new website site is simply a repackaging of old information. Senate Minority Leader Vi Simpson of Bloomington
says there are still huge holes in information that the public deserves to see.
Berry says the website will be updated with more information and noted that it includes a suggestion box so taxpayers can
leave feedback about how to improve the site.
