The downtown Indianapolis hotel has chosen Quang T. Dinh as executive chef at its two restaurants, which will open when the hotel opens in February 2011.
Those restaurants include upscale Italian eatery Osteria Pronto and High Velocity, a sports bar and restaurant.
Dinh has worked at restaurants in the hospitality industry for the last 20 years and most recently was executive chef at the Louisville Marriott Downtown. He has won culinary awards for dishes such appetizers and desserts.
“I’m looking forward to becoming an active member of the vibrant culinary community in Indianapolis and to welcoming visitors and residents alike to the unparalleled dining environments we are creating,” Dinh said in a press release.
The JW Marriott, situated on the southwest side of downtown near White River State Park, will be the city’s largest hotel and the centerpiece of the $450 million Marriott Place hotel complex. The hotel will have more than 100,000 square feet of catering space.
