Ohio-based Bemydd.com is expanding to Indianapolis with a service that uses paid contractors to drive you to your party and to bring you home, using your car, for $12.50 an hour.
It’s an alternative to calling a cab or imposing on a friend who thinks you’re a mean drunk.
Bemydd.com is the brainchild of Arthur Simanovsky, who recently earned a finance degree from Miami University of Ohio, and Alexa Milkovich, of Cleveland, who studied economics at Kent State University.
The service now operates in Columbus and Cincinnati. Drivers employed by the company must pass a background check. Someone who has already driven to a party can still have Bemydd.com take him or her—and car—home. This one-way service costs a bit more—$25 a car plus an additional mileage charge.
“Our focus is to give people a safe and legal alternative to drinking and driving without having to use expensive taxicabs or limousines,” Simanovsky said.
