Fieldhouse officials are encouraging commuters to leave early and plan ahead, as heavy traffic and delays are anticipated.
Doors to the fieldhouse will open at 6:45 a.m. to help alleviate traffic congestion. The "Get Motivated!" business seminar, featuring 10 speakers, including former First Lady Laura Bush, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, and General Colin Powell, starts at 8 a.m.
Organizers recommend attendees park at the Lucas Oil Stadium South lot or the Market Street garage just north of the fieldhouse.
Bus service is available using IndyGo Commuter Express routes from Fishers and Carmel, with a bus stop on Pennsylvania Street, one block north of the fieldhouse. Morning buses into downtown run from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. with return trips scheduled from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The fare is $3 each way.
A special shuttle service will run for Monday’s event, with satellite parking available at the Indianapolis Zoo for $8 per vehicle. The round-trip shuttle is free and will operate between the zoo parking lot and the fieldhouse from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
