Founded in 2007 as IndyBaby Expo, the company puts on shows focused on products, information and services for families—existing and expectant.
With founder Jenn Kampmeier of Westfield at the helm, the concept caught on and the renamed Bebe Paluzza soon added events in Denver; Chicago; Austin, Texas; and Des Moines, Iowa.
New owners Krista Turpin and Kelly Pryor, who have more than 25 years of experience in the meeting- and event-planning business—most recently at Indianapolis-based VMS Inc.—say they want to keep growing the shows, both in number and scope.
“Our focus will be to provide a forum for our national sponsors and exhibitors to reach their customers,” Turpin said in a prepared statement.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Kampmeier also was a co-founder of an online social networking site that she and partner Janet Hambrock sold in 2007.
