Daniels has stressed the need to restrain spending as lawmakers prepare to create a new, two-year state budget. But Daniels hadn't discussed many specifics of other legislative proposals before Tuesday's elections.
When the legislative session begins in January, the GOP will have control of the Indiana House, Senate and governor's office. That could make Daniels' agenda easier for the second-term governor to accomplish.
But Republican leaders in both the House and Senate pledged Wednesday to work with Democrats in the minority.
