Snow, who lives in Richmond, plans to semi-retire. The 63-year-old former Wayne Superior Court judge's last day as chairman will be Nov. 19.
The Alcohol and Tobacco Commission regulates the manufacture, sale, possession and use of alcohol and regulates about 10,000 permits for restaurants, breweries, wineries, stores and other establishments.
The governor's office says Indiana Excise Police Superintendent Alex Huskey will serve as interim chairman of the four-member commission until Daniels names a replacement.
Huskey, who's from from Marion, also was interim chairman before Snow.
