Larry Blackerby, a 30-year television veteran, has been picked to replace long-time WRTV-TV General Manager Donald Lundy at the Indianapolis ABC-TV affiliate, parent company McGraw-Hill Broadcasting announced Tuesday.

Lundy, who has been at WRTV for nine years and with McGraw-Hill for 31, in August announced his plans to retire. He turns 65 in December.

Blackerby has been vice president and general manager of KPRC-TV, an NBC-TV affiliate in Houston, since 2006. He previously worked in markets in California, Florida, Michigan and North Carolina.

Blackerby, who will succeed Lundy officially on Jan. 3, will be responsible for the strategy and day-to-day editorial and business operations of WRTV.
