Tenley Drescher-Rhoades, former deputy corporation counsel for Indianapolis, served as counsel to the Marion County Election Board in her position at the local law firm Baker & Daniels. The three-member board helps to administer the county’s elections. Marion County Clerk Beth White, a Democrat, serves as board secretary, along with a member appointed by each political party.
Drescher-Rhoades’ law practice also included counseling public and private entities on matters such as economic development and public finance. She will begin her position in the clerk’s office Jan. 3.
She replaces Laurel Judkins, who was selected as chief of staff for newly elected Democratic Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry.
