The Indiana Economic Development Corp. has a new second-in-command. On Feb. 6, IEDC announced attorney and land developer Chad Pittman’s hiring as executive vice president. He replaces Chad Sweeney, who stepped down to join local site-selection and economic development consultancy Ginovus.
Pittman most recently spent a year in Iraq with the Indiana Army National Guard. Before that, he worked for Indianapolis-based home builder C.P. Morgan as director of new market development and land development. His career also has included time as a lawyer with the local firm of Bose McKinney and Evans LLP. In 2002, he earned his law degree from the Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis. His undergraduate degree, also from IU, is in business.
Sweeney, an attorney and CPA, had worked for IEDC from its inception in 2005. In addition to his new job with Ginovus, he will also be of counsel with Ginovus’ parent law firm Taft Stettinius and Hollister LLP.
