Construction is set to begin soon on Community Health Pavilion, a three-story, 55,000-square-foot medical building to be built on six acres at 7910 E. Washington St.
When finished in early 2012, the building will offer access to primary-care doctors from the Community Physicians of Indiana group, lab services from Mid America Clinical Labs, and specialty services including advanced imaging, rehab and sports medicine.
Existing MedCheck and Community Occupational Health Services offices at 17th Street and Post Road will move to the building.
The complex will be built on property left undeveloped since the closing and demolition of a Laughner’s Cafeteria. Greenwood-based Alderson Commercial Group Inc. will develop the project for Community Health Network.
The network operates Community Hospital branches and the Indiana Heart Hospital, all in Indianapolis, as well as Community Hospital Anderson.
