He also has sold his firm, The Mattison Corp., to Scott Grimes and Chris Price, a nephew, who serve as vice presidents of Mattison and as executive directors of its construction industry clients.
Besides ICR and MICCS, Mattison’s clients include the Indianapolis Chapter of the Indiana Facility Managers and Maintenance Association, Indiana Subcontractors Association and Electric League of Indiana.
Price, who founded Mattison in 1988, will continue as a consultant to the company and its clients.
The 55-year-old said “he is too young to retire but old enough to know that the company and clients might benefit from the energy and enthusiasm of the next generation.”
Grimes and Chris Price are both in their 30s, Price said.
Mattison is an association management, event management, public relations and video production company that serves more clients in the construction industry than any other entity in the state. It has eight employees at its downtown office at 200 S. Meridian St.
Price graduated from Indiana University in 1978 and began his service in the construction industry in 1983, when he became executive director of the Associated Builders & Contractors of Indiana, an organization that represents nonunion contractors.
He previously served as executive director of the Indiana Real Estate Commission in 1981 and chief deputy secretary of state in 1983.
