The private company also marked its 40th consecutive quarter of growth by reporting a 47-percent increase in year-over-year revenue in the fourth quarter of 2010, it said. ExactTarget did not provide a revenue figure for the quarter.
“Our growth and momentum accelerated in 2010 as we expanded our global operations, acquired new social media capabilities and celebrated our 10th year of operation,” company CEO and co-founder Scott Dorsey said in the prepared statement.
Helping fuel the growth was the addition of new clients and key renewals, which included contracts with Groupon, Oakley, Toyota, Citigroup and Columbia Sportswear.
ExactTarget said it facilitated more than 40 billion permission-based e-mail and mobile messages last year.
The company added more than 275 employees in 2010, bringing total global employment to more than 825.
