The Republican-controlled House and Senate have plenty of legislation left to tackle. The House will vote on a new state budget that would keep overall education funding flat while changing the distribution to help some schools and hurt others. Democrats object to the shifts and want to change the bill, though the GOP controls the chamber and can reject their proposals.
The House is also scheduled to take up a controversial voucher bill that would use taxpayer money to help parents send their children to private schools.
The Senate could vote on a contentious, Arizona-style immigration proposal and a bill to tie teacher pay to student performance.
Wednesday is the last day for the third readings of Senate bills in the Senate, and Friday is the deadline for House bills to be read in the House.
