New York's development agency has posted an invitation for universities that are interested in developing a science or research facility that will focus on diversifying the city's economy by specializing in applied sciences. Universities have until March 16 to submit proposals.
Cordova tells the Journal and Courier of Lafayette that Purdue has interest. She says it's unclear how many faculty and students would participate.
The Chronicle of Higher Education reports 20 institutions met with city officials in early February to discuss potential investments. Purdue was one of those universities.
