extension and a second terminal.
The authority will outline proposed improvements in its master plan update from 4-7 p.m. March 24, at the Hendricks County
4H Fairgrounds and Conference Complex, in Danville.
Improvements planned within five years include developing additional hangars, installing an aircraft ground communication
systems, and adding jet fuel facilities.
"Some land acquisition will be needed to accommodate the improvements," said the authority.
Longer-term improvements include an extension of the 4,400-foot runway, a second terminal and a new instrument approach to
the south. The authority said it will need more land and has proposed closing County Road 150 South.
Among firms working on planning are Indianapolis-based Aerofinity Inc. and Springfield, Ill.-based Crawford Murphy & Tilly
