The Columbus-based engine manufacturer says it is hiring across the board to meet strong demand worldwide and in anticipation of an economic recovery.
A company spokesman told The Columbus Republic that it's too soon to know how many of the 2,500 jobs will be added in Columbus. The company has said since October that it plans to add 350 engineering, technical and other professional positions in Columbus by April 2012.
Manufacturers like Cummins shed thousands of jobs during the latest recession, but have been clawing their way back.
