Scopelitis Garvin Light & Hanson PC has elected Gregory M. Feary president of the Indianapolis-based law firm.

Feary, who joined Scopelitis in 1988 and became a partner in 1992, focuses on the transportation insurance and risk-management industries, as well as independent contractor issues and transportation contracts.

Scopelitis was founded in 1978 and serves the trucking, transportation and logistics industries.

Besides Indianapolis, it has offices in Chicago; Detroit; Washington, D.C.; Los Angeles; Kansas City, Kan.; Chattanooga, Tenn.; and Spokane, Wash.

With 37 lawyers locally, Scopelitis is the city’s 10th-largest law firm, according to IBJ research.
