More apartments for B-town

Developers are working on plans for several new apartment projects in Bloomington. The college town adds new units virtually every summer, and the latest crop includes several infill projects-many of which will be built atop retail space.

Bloomington businessman Rob Friedman has two projects in the works: a 9,400-square-foot building at 1200 N. Walnut St. with four three-bedroom condos above retail space; and a five-unit, 11,000-squarefoot project above a deli at 118 E. Seventh St. Friedman also is working on a mixeduse development at 344 S. Walnut St. The first two projects are being designed by Indianapolis-based Studio 3 Design.

Bloomington-based Pavilion Properties also has a project slated for the summer, a 13,000-square-foot building at 501 N. Walnut St. And local developer Tyler Curry has filed plans to build six apartments with a total of 24 bedrooms at 644 N. Morton St.
