As a subscriber you can listen to articles at work, in the car, or while you work out. Subscribe NowManchester College students and two recent graduates will create economic reports designed to help northern Indiana's Wabash County attract new business and industry.
The project is funded by a $16,000 grant from the Ball Brothers Foundation Venture Fund.
College officials say the analysis will showcase the region's industrial strengths and hopefully draw employers to the area. The goal is to generate three or four economic reports a year, beginning in April 2012.
Manchester economics program Chairman John Deal says the project will serve as a model for other rural areas.
Two recent Manchester graduates are starting research for the project and will hand off to two current students in the fall.
