Maurer column brought smile

I wanted to reach [out] about Mickey Maurer’s [July 25] column. It was very well done and put a smile or two on my face (and made me chuckle out loud). I especially liked the engineering bit. I truly appreciate your perspective and the fine delivery of your points.

Legislation should be passed thoughtfully, with a full examination of consequences and with balanced input from true experts on the subject matter at hand. You found a comical way to share this notion (and some others). I hope legislators and individuals who vote read your column, and take it to heart.
