Revere Plastics Systems LLC, based in Clyde, Ohio, wants to spend $13.4 million to outfit an existing 122,000-square-foot production plant for use in its custom plastic-injection molding business. Revere makes plastic parts for makers of appliances, automobiles, business equipment, power equipment and electronics.
But company officials also are considering a second location in the nearby Louisville area, according to a press release from One Southern Indiana, an economic development organization operating in the Jeffersonville area.
Revere wants a five-year tax abatement for its equipment investment and a $200,000 training grant for use with the workers it hires. The Jeffersonville Redevelopment Commission will consider Revere’s requests Wednesday night.
Revere Industries was founded in 2005 through the combination of four companies owned by Connecticut-based Charter Oak Capital Partners. The company employs more than 2,000 around the world.
