Firehouse Subs, a restaurant chain with eight locations in Indiana, seeks to support local firehouses through its nonprofit organization, The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation.

Fundraising
Sheltering Wings to benefit from third annual “Battle of the Bands” Oct. 29 at the Hendricks County Fairgrounds. Students will run food concessions, and “Free Hugs” t-shirts and wristbands will be available for purchase. A Photo Corner where teens can get fun photos taken at no charge will also play part in the event. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m., competition at 5 p.m. Cost: free. Grants
The Timmy Foundation is receiving a $10,000 grant from the Northwestern Mutual Foundation in recognition of financial representative Mark Wise’s outstanding volunteer commitment, as part of the company’s 17th annual national Community Service Award program.

Chaucie’s Place was awarded an $18,000 grant through the Home Depot Foundation. This donation will be used towards the materials needed for the renovations of our new facility.

In Recognition
Kim Ebert, Ogletree Deakins, has been named 2012 Indianapolis Employment Law – Management Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers.
