The company said it will invest $300,000 in new equipment and personnel, adding an estimated 10 people to the current payroll of 25 over the next year.
Carson’s plant at 5451 N. Rural St. serves a variety of industries with an emphasis on medical and military.
The family-owned company started with the design and patent of a new variable-speed motor control for the HVAC industry. Carson later added siren amplifiers. Its contract-manufacturing division includes printed circuit boards.
Some of Carson’s largest customers include the Indianapolis Marion County Police Department and Trane.
