The Times of Munster reports 45-year-old Edward Rau III of Munster is accused of defrauding the Ameristar Casino by ordering dealers on four separate occasions to give $1,800 in chips to a Chicago man who would cash them in and split the money with Rau.
Also charged with felony theft was 53-year-old Edward Travis of Chicago. He told an Indiana Gaming Commission agent that Rau had approached him asking if he wanted to make extra money, then offered him the role in the scheme.
A message seeking comment was left Monday at a listing for Edward Rau in Munster by The Associated Press.
