The name of the company and details of its plans aren't being released yet, but Terre Haute Economic Development Corp. president Steve Witt says the pharmaceutical manufacturer has been in talks with the agency for about four months.
Witt tells the Tribune-Star that it is a great opportunity for the area and that the company could submit a bid next month on buying the complex where Pfizer once made an inhaled insulin product.
Pfizer made major layoffs from the plant in 2008, then last year shut down the last of its Vigo County operations after six decades.
