The natural gas supplier to 570,000 customers in central and southeastern Indiana said members of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers 1393 and United Steelworkers Locals 12213 and 7441 notified the company Thursday evening that they have ratified the deal.
Employees will return to work Friday, the Indianapolis-based utility said.
Vectren had locked out the workers Dec. 16 after they voted down a proposal. Talks resumed Wednesday at the request of a federal mediator and resulted in a tentative agreement early Thursday.
Vectren says union members perform service disconnects, reconnects, new installations and after-hours service calls.
