A Reebok spokeswoman declined to divulge details of the cuts, but said difficult economic conditions contributed to the decision.
The plant has 950 employees and manufactures and distributes apparel for the National Football League, National Basketball Association, National Hockey League, Major League Baseball and the NCAA.
Retailers suffered through one of their worst Decembers in years. Sales plunged 2.7 percent during the month, according to a report released today by the Commerce Department – more than double the 1.2-percent decrease that retail analysts had expected.
Germany-based The Adidas Group purchased Reebok in 2006. The plant served as the former headquarters of Logo 7 and Logo Athletic.
