As a subscriber you can listen to articles at work, in the car, or while you work out. Subscribe NowAnderson University announced on Wednesday that its capital campaign has raised $113 million, surpassing a goal of $110 million.
The campaign, launched in October 2006, is the largest undertaken by the university.
“We are so delighted to report a remarkable success in the Dreams, Discovery, Direction campaign, President James L. Edwards said in a prepared statement. “Exceeding this aggressive goal in the context of our global economic challenges is an amazing accomplishment.”
Campaign funds will be used for endowment and scholarship purposes, academic and student programs, and facilities, equipment and operational needs.
The university’s last major campaign ended in 1999 and exceeded a goal of $75 million by raising $83.7 million.
Anderson University is a private Christian university with an enrollment of 2,600 students.
