The case, filed in Marion County early last month and recently transferred to federal court, alleges that Click and Improve’s principals secretly joined Angie’s List then illegally harvested more than 24,000 proprietary files.
Angie's List's data is the "lifeblood" of its business and has been gathered over the course of many years, according to the 13-page lawsuit.
Before the case was transferred to federal court, Indianapolis-based Angie’s List won a temporary restraining order preventing Click and Improve from using any of Angie’s List’s information while the lawsuit plays out.
Click and Improve has not filed a formal response to the allegations.
